Many of the sites on the Internet offer you the chance to read a particular story and then answer questions on what you have read. This is a good way of monitoring your progress. You can see at a glance when you check the answers, whether you need to devote more time to that part of your learning or you are ready to move on to the next lesson.

You will learn idioms ? these are words or phrases which have no real translation into your native tongue and are peculiar to the English language. You will also discover useful expressions along with situations and topics which are used on a daily basis and this will help you immensely when you are actually engaging in conversation with otherpeople.

Finally you are highly recommended to move to Quizzes section to do your homework daily. When you learn English at home you do not have to do it alone. You can have your friends around who are also learning English and set a topic of conversation to practice your English together. You will find this makes it easier for you to identify your strengths and weaknesses, allowing you to help others and to be helped by them too and before you know where you are you will be skilled at speaking, understanding, writing and reading the English language.
